PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT

Schedules and performs vehicle and equipment repairs in response to requests from staff and location managers.
Assists in daily operational duties of the facility.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Performs all repairs of vehicles and equipment as needed

Assists with maintenance and repairs of vehicles and equipment as requested

Maintains an appropriate inventory of parts necessary for repairs and maintenance

Maintains service records of each piece of equipment and vehicle to document for quality maintenance programs and to maintain DOT compliance

Assists with maintaining operations at retail supply location

Assists with inventory and distribution of agronomy products

Assists with housekeeping and maintaining the image of the facility and equipment

Assists in meeting goals by improving efficiency and reducing costs

Provides excellent customer service

Works with location manager on all safety and compliance issues

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS

May be required to provide backup to drivers in the Crops Departments

May be required to drive and run local errands

Follows GROWMARK s Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program, Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA and DOT policies and procedures, as they apply

Performs all other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS

Normally requires a high school diploma, or the equivalent thereof, and 1 year or more of related work experience to demonstrate knowledge of basic business principals of inventory management and mechanics.

Required skills include fabrication, cutting, welding, bearing replacement, engine service/maintenance/adjustments (both gas & diesel), automotive electrical, brake adjustment/repair (both mechanical & air) and hydraulic troubleshooting/repair.

Demonstrates essential abilities including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making and skill development

Must have and maintain a valid driver s license and satisfactory driving record

Normally requires an acceptable CDL with Hazmat endorsements

Frequently exposed or required to:

  • Extreme weather conditions (hot, cold, wet, etc.
    )
  • Noisy conditions
  • Working conditions may include dust, fumes, chemicals, and electrical hazards with appropriate safety measures
  • May be required to work at varying heights
  • Confined spaces
  • Lift 51-70 pounds.
  • Required to push heavy objects

Ability to work extended hours during seasonal demands

Ability to travel independently and overnight

Ability and willingness to participate in required training that may include education on GROWMARK s policies and procedures and additional training as it relates to the requirements of the position.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
