Machine Operator

Volm Companies is currently hiring for machine operators in the following departments:?Knitting, Half and Half, and Printing.

We currently have?12 hour night shifts (6:30 pm - 6:30 am) and 12 hour day shifts (6:30 am - 6:30 pm)?on a rotating 2-2-3 schedule shifts open. Full time and part time available!

Duties include:

  • Carry out the production schedule for your machines

  • Complete machine set up's

  • Clean and replace rolls of mesh/film

  • Verify production counts

  • Check and mark all defects? - quality control

  • Housekeeping (take out trash and sweep floor)

  • Restock supplies for next shift

  • Keep thread and mesh on machines

  • Keep a watchful eye on machines

  • Run machines efficiently with little down time

  • Do machine maintenance and make necessary adjustments when needed

  • High school diploma or equivalency diploma

  • Basic mathematical calculation skills

  • Ability to read and follow oral and written instructions

  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude

  • Basic computer knowledge

  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment

Physical Requirements:

  • Standing and walking 90% of the shift

  • Ability to lift up to 60 lbs.

  • Be able to push, pull, squat, bend or reach 10% of the workday

  • Be able to handle, grasp, and perform repetitive motions

  • Have eye/hand/foot coordination

  • Must be able to work in temperatures ranging from 60 degrees to 90+ depending on the season and department

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
